Australia was well represented at the 2021 Knauf Insulation Annual Conference, held virtually on 24-25 February, with one of our very own superstar performers from the Asia Pacific Region recognised for outstanding leadership.
James Bedford, Regional Market and Product Portfolio Manager (APAC), was among fourteen employees across the company whose performance and achievements were celebrated.
James was recognised for achieving increased sales by an outstanding percentage – despite product shortages – through the allocation of new solutions, relocating stock and building trust with a future-focused vision.
When asked what lessons he has learned about leadership at Knauf Insulation, James said, “I’ve learned to keep customer centricity at the heart of the decisions I make, to focus on projects that will grow sales for customers, and also to think outside the box for new and exciting opportunities.”
Jean-Claude Carlin, Member of the Knauf Group Management Committee Insulation Europe/Middle East/Asia, who announced the recipients of the Leadership Awards for 2021, spoke of the unprecedented pressures caused in 2020, saying, “COVID-19 was an extraordinary test of leadership for everyone at Knauf Insulation and I am incredibly proud of what has been achieved.”
